Maik from Heaven Shall Burn joins the We Talk Music podcast for something just a little bit different than the usual show.

Heaven shall burn is one of Germany’s most successful extreme metal bands. Previous albums from the band have been feature deathcore, metalcore, and melodic death metal. Their latest album, is titled Of Truth and Sacrifice. On it, they mix all their other influences with those previous sounds. This adds traditional heavy metal, hard rock, nu-metal, power metal. and many more into the mix.

Heaven shall burn is one of the most politically charged bands in the world. On the show we delve deep into Maik’s political history and where it began. This leads to a strong discussion on his life in East Germany. As a a teenager when the Berlin Wall came down in he discusses it’s effect on himself and others on that side of the wall. It’s amazing to hear him discuss one of the most important historical events of the 20th Century, and the after effects.
