WTMusic Concert Review: Chris Jericho and Fozzy Capture Judas

On Saturday night from Madison Studios in Atlanta, Georgia Fozzy performed a blistering set of their very best in a livestream event that is now available on demand at FOZZY.veeps.com until November 29th.

With a half dozen songs from their 7th studio album Judas, the band tore the walls down with an intensity you would expect from one of the tightest bands walking planet earth. The setlist featured these tracks:

  1. Sin and Bones
  2. Drinkin with Jesus
  3. One Crazed Anarchist
  4. Burn Me Out
  5. Nowhere to Run
  6. Elevator
  7. Do You Wanna Start a War
  8. Lights Go Out
  9. Painless
  10. Wolves at Bay
  11. Enemy
  12. Sandpaper
  13. Judas

Fozzy Capturing Judas

As would be expected from the All Elite Wrestling star, Chris Jericho is an absolutely commanding on screen presence . Over the years Jericho has learned how to play to the strengths of his singing voice, and was on point on this evening.

It helps that the band obviously enjoys each other’s company and the music they play so much. That creates a chemistry that helps bring the audience in. For that reason the band’s banter in between songs, where they talked about career highlights, best songs to play, and various other topics, was a true highlight and extremely insightful.

Speaking of insightful, before the show a short documentary of the band from 2017 was shown. Across America featured highlights of the band playing 3 full concerts in one day, and was an often hilarious look at the group. Clearly they’re the type of guys you’d want to watch play and then hang out and have a drink with after.

Special mention also need to be given to Veeps as well. The show, priced at a mere $10, streamed perfectly for me. I watched on my television through my Xbox One X and had absolutely no issues during the show, leaving me able to just sit back and enjoy Judas.

All in all this was a terrific way to stay at home and enjoy a Saturday night. It felt like hanging out with friends, and who among us couldn’t use more of that in this day and age.
