We Talk Music has another great interview for you as host Brett Monro goes one on one with Firewind guitarist Gus G.

Gus had a solo release called Fearless drop in April, and he gives the inside scoops on the how it all came together, giving extra credit to the contributions of vocalist/bassist Dennis Ward and explaining the recording process.

Gus G. also spills about touring in general and specifically his time hitting the road with Richie Kotzen and Vinnie Moore. We find out some of Gus G.’s personal favorite guitarists as well, like Uli Jon Roth and Gary Moore. And Gus shares what he learned from his time as Ozzy Osbourne’s lead guitarist.

The show then shifts to discussing the guitar endorsements he has now and how he got them, the different types of guitars he plays and why he prefers one over the other, and the good fortune he’s had of recording with such talented musicians as Mats Leven or Jeff Scott Soto.

Finally, the show wraps up with a funny story from his time with Ozzy Osbourne. Trust us, it’s an absolute gem.
