It’s another great interview on the newest episode of the We Talk Music podcast as Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash joins the show to talk the new album “Coat of Arms“.
Wishbone Ash is revered by music insiders for their innovative two guitar approach. Since their self titled debut album in 1970, many of the most important and successful bands in the industry have cited them as an influence. These include such legendary groups as Van Halen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Dream Theater.
With the 2020 release of “Coat of Arms”, Andy Powell and the members of Wishbone Ash show how they continue to be one of the tightest bands on planet earth.
This interview touches on many great talking points, with Andy going into detail on the current band lineup, and their skills and influences.
We also go into depth on each and every song on the “Coat of Arms” LP. It’s your chance to learn their inspirations and messages behind the music, including the singles “We Stand As One” and “Back in the Day”, as well as WTM favorite “Empty Man”.
