For 3 decades Chip Z’Nuff and his band Enuff Z’Nuff have been kicking down the walls of expectations of what the hard rock power pop sound can be, and now on the heels of Enuff Z’Nuff’s 2014 disc Covered In Gold comes Chip Z’Nuff’s first ever solo effort, Strange Time.
Chip hooked up over the phone with Brett and Mo to spend a tremendous half hour talking working on the album, his favorite song on it composed with Steven Adler, Tonight We Met (And Now We’re Going To F***) feat. Slash & Dale Bozzio as well. He also talks why Rockstar was the first single, the video shot in Amsterdam for it, the composition of F..Mary..Kill (with a writing credit to his good friend Steve Miller), and how marketing and understanding social media has changed the game.
Plus Chip gives us some behind the scenes stories of Howard Stern, if Ronnie “The Limo Driver” Mund is the same guy off the air as on it, and some very touching memories of his friend the late Jani Lane and the memorial concert that was held for him. This is a great interview with a man grateful for the life he’s led and experiences he’s had so please listen and share with the social media buttons below. And reach Chip on his FaceBook or Twitter, or get the album on iTunes.
