We were able to gather together a 10 man panel of store owners, bloggers, podcasters, writers, and artists already in or trying to break in to the comic book business to discuss where the comic industry is at the end of this year and where it is and should go in 2013.
In addition to your usual 4 man crew of WTC hosts Mo, Chris, Brett and Keith we
are joined by the artist of Image Comics Intrepids and the upcoming Down, Set, Fight from Oni Press Scott Kowalchuk (http://www.scottkowalchuk.com/), the man behind Tiger Lawyer, Brother James, and the imprint Challenger Comics Ryan Ferrier (http://about.me/ryanferrier), up coming web comic artist Ben Rankel (http://benrankel.com/#2), co-founder & managing editor of Comic Book Therapy our friend Comic Canuck (http://www.comicbooktherapy.com/), writer of LP and Electric Love the talented Curt Pires (http://curtpires.bigcartel.com/) and of course the man who allowed us to invade his terrific store the owner of Alpha Comics Chris Humphries.
Format:
Introductions
First Segment – (20 to 30 minutes) Positive trends in the industry. Moderated by We Talk Comics Co-Host Brett Monro
Second Segment – (20 to 30 minutes) Questions and concerns about the current state of the industry. Moderated by WTC Co-Host Keith Callbeck
Third Segment – (20 to 30 minutes) What could the comic book industry learn from the past. Moderated by WTC Co-Host Chris Beck
Fourth Segment – (20 to 30 minutes) New ideas presented and discussed. Moderated by WTC Co-Host Mo Kristiansen
