Warrant was my favorite band, and in most ways Jani Lane was Warrant.
When Brett texted me about Jani’s passing I sent him a message about 20 minutes later telling him I wanted to do podcast on Jani and Brett said he was in. We’ve done some work to make it as good as possible pretty much every day since. That was on Aug.11 2011, today is Feb.1 2012 and it’s finally ready. Today Jani would have been 48.
I never expected the project to be so big, or need so much work, but it was obvious soon in that it was incredibly personal to me, and I couldn’t accept it not being done right in Jani’s memory. I owed him at least that.
We’ve got rare stuff in here, music, interview clips, as well as our own thoughts and memories. I’m very very very proud of what Brett and I have accomplished, it really took my ever evolving vision and brought it into reality. I hope you all listen and enjoy. Happy Birthday Jani.
